Jul 12, 2015 · 2003 Prairie 360 Timing and carb. Hello, Finally just purchased my first 4x4 atv. I have always had sport quads. This one is a 2003 Prairie 360 in excellent shape. I got for a steal in my opinion. "The owner said it always ran great but started smoking so had the top end rebuilt by a local mechanic. I am in the process of getting a badly maintained 2005 Prairie 360 4x4 back to life. The wires that go to the carb is a carb heater. The heater screws in and has one connection on it. A ground tab is also attached to the carb to create the circuit as the carb is electrically isolated from the frame via the plastic intake and air box pipe.Rob installs a $30 Carburetor purchased from Amazon on a Kawasaki Prairie 300 Quad / 4-wheeler / Four Wheeler.
2006 Kawasaki Prairie 360. Was idling rough, wouldn't run with the choke open, back firing a lot, misfiring when the throttle was opened up, and generally just having a bad time lol. Cleaned the carb, replaced all the jets, leaned out the mix a little, and cleaned up the fouled plug, and it's running WAY better.
Turn the fuel screws out. Use a minimum of half turn increments until you know you've just about nailed it. You'll drive yourself up the wall trying to tune the thing in eighth or quarter turn increments if you're a mile off. Picked up a 03 Prairie 360 about a month ago to go with my '96 Honda TRX 300. The quad had been sitting for over a year when I got it, so I pulled/drained the tank and pulled the carb/cleaned it according to the factory service manual.
