People always say go to SJSU if you’re in tech/engineering because it’s in Silicon Valley, which means the potential job opportunities will be more abundant compared to SDSU. I’m having a hard time deciding between SJSU and SDSU myself, as I’m a STEM major.The part time track is two courses each Fall and Spring and one course during the first 6wk summer session. Each course has one session a week. The full time track takes 3 courses a semester and skips the summer session. You end up finishing about 3mo earlier on the full time track. There is a program admin that coordinates enrollment and books ... Public transportation, beaches, nightlife (gaslamp) are all better in SD. Outside of the dorms, housing may be cheaper if you go inward of east county. The campus life at SDSU will be better. San Diego in general is a much more fun city also than Long Beach. If you can afford either, I would go SDSU.

Depends on the major, STEM go SJSU, non STEM do SDSU. San Diego is more fun, prettier, etc. but San Jose has insane stem job opportunities. SJSU for Engineering & CS (except BME, I think SDSU has better biology depts). SDSU for everything else.
